We provide a complete package of monolithic refractories, insulating and safety backup lining materials, and all accessory materials needed to line your furnace.  We provide unsurpassed support with in-house engineering and technical services, and on site installation and trouble shooting support.

Our complete package has allowed us to remain the leader in channel furnace refractories in most major markets worldwide.  Our promise is to Be There Worldwide”.

Primary Linings                                                                                    Top of Page
We have the widest selection of proven materials for furnace uppercases, floors and throats.  These include high alumina DRI-VIBES® (MINRO-AL® RAM A26), high alumina compositions with silicon carbide (MINRO-AL® RAM A29), high alumina formulations with chrome oxide (DRI-VIBE® 336A), and high alumina formulations with chrome oxide and magnesia (DRI-VIBE® 337A).

Our V-CAST® low cement castables provide extremely low porosity, rapid dryout, and excellent resistance to slag attack and mechanical abuse.  Our compositions include high alumina (V-CAST® HLM90A), high alumina with magnesia (V-CAST® 69A), high alumina with silicon carbide (V-CAST® FA2L, HSL, V-CAST® 426A, V-CAST® 418A, and others), high alumina with chrome oxide (V-CAST® 656A), and more.

Most V-CAST® formulations are available in large aggregate, highly abrasion resistant formulations.  V-CAST® 500A (large aggregate V-CAST® FA2L), V-CAST® 600A (large aggregate V-CAST® HLM90A), and V-CAST® 700A (large aggregate V-CAST® 426A) are a few of these.

Two or three component linings are common in furnaces with aggressive slag chemistry, abrasion resistant areas, or other stress conditions.  Custom designed, engineered linings are one of our specialties.

We also supply wet ram compositions for uppercase and throat applications.  MINRO-AL® RAM A31W has been an industry standard for many years.

Inductors                                                                                               Top of Page
We have the best and most proven magnesia and alumina based refractories for water cooled inductors.  One of our first DRI-VIBE® products, MINRO-MAG RAM M10, has delivered consistent performance for more than 20 years.  DRI-VIBE® 696M has shown superior performance in high-power inductors worldwide.  It is currently installed in the most powerful melting furnaces in operation (up to 5,500 KW).

DRI-VIBE® 305A has provided predictable campaign life in lower power inductors where clogging is a persistent problem.  DRI-VIBE® 306A allows for using an alumina based refractory in higher power inductors.

MINRO-AL® PATCH 457A is an alumina castable designed as a topcap for alumina inductors.  It provides a strong seal or cap for the DRI-VIBE® refractory.  It ensures that no refractory leakage will occur during mounting of the inductor.

MINRO-MAG PATCH M11 is a magnesia castable alternative for magnesia inductors.

We also supply MINRO-AL® RAM A31W for inductor applications.  It has been an industry standard in this application, especially in air cooled inductors.

Maintenance                                                                                         Top of Page
We offer proven hot and cold gunning mixes (MATRIGUN 60, MATRIGUN 70), plastics (STEEL PACK 90CR with chrome oxide) and a variety of washes and ramming compounds.

We can SHOTCRETE most of our hotface castables and provide 90% of their as-cast properties.  SHOTCRETING allows for more rapid turnaround than conventional plastic or castable repairs.  No forms and minimal labor are required.  SHOTCRETING has been proven in vertical and horizontal furnaces up to 100 tons.

Other                                                                                                     Top of Page
We offer many materials for furnace covers, spouts, launders, and all other channel furnace applications.

V-CAST® large aggregate-impact resistant castables are used for receivers, spouts, and launder impact areas.

Lightweight insulating castables (MATRILITE 28, MINRO-AL® CAST A98, MINRO-AL® CAST 299A, QUICK-CAST® 52) are used for covers.

Thermal shock resistant castables (V-CAST® 699A, QUICK-CAST® 72) are commonly used for a variety of other applications.

Foundry Floor                                                                                       Top of Page
MATRICAST TUFFLOOR
is used for foundry floor applications.  This spall resistant, high strength castable can be installed quickly, and placed in service after 24 hours of air-drying.  It will improve safety and reduce floor maintenance in areas subject to molten metal splash, slag, and other intermittent high temperature exposures.

Cast Steel Loop Forms                                                                   Top of Page
We supply a complete line of hollow, cast steel loop forms.  These are generally shipped from inventory.  They are 100% inspected both visually and by X-ray.

We also supply all other materials needed to line your furnaces including insulating brick, hard brick, thermocouples, insulating paper, mica, ceramic and stainless steel anchors, board, and anything else needed for your furnace relines.
