We provide
more alternatives than any other manufacturer. We have the products to
fit your specific melting niche. These come in a wide variety of
compositions that incorporate alumina, silicon carbide, silica, fused
silica and magnesia.
Our traditional
DRI-VIBES®
include those with fused alumina and silicon carbide. MINRO-AL®
RAM A29 (copper), MINRO-AL®
RAM A30 (brass), and DRI-VIBE® 250A (copper nickel) have been used for many
years. MINRO-SIL® RAM 1001 has also been used for more than 30 years
in mild melting and holding applications. DRI-VIBE®
390A (Mullite) is also widely used.
In 1995 we
introduced improved products designed to minimize cracking due to thermal
shock. The formulations include fused alumina, silicon carbide, and fused
silica. These products included DRI-VIBE®
351A (copper), DRI-VIBE®353A (brass), and DRI-VIBE®
350A (copper nickel).
In 1995 we also
introduced DRI-VIBE®
252A for large batch melting furnaces where increased expansion was
needed. We later introduced DRI-VIBE®
253A for higher temperature applications in large furnaces. Both
compositions include alumina, fused silica, and magnesia.
In 1998
we introduced DRI-VIBE®
226A and DRI-VIBE®
227A. These products contain 26% silicon carbide and are extremely
non-wetting and abrasion resistant. DRI-VIBE®401Z, silica plus zircon,
was introduced as a more wear resistant silica formulation for all copper
based alloys.
We
can also supply a variety of wet ram compositions. MINRO-AL®
WET RAM A32W, A33W, and A34W were widely used in the past, prior
to adoption of DRI-VIBE®
technology. These compositions contain alumina and
silicon carbide
The important thing
to understand is that we have a composition that will maximize your
campaign life, regardless of your conditions. And, if necessary, we will
develop what you need to have.
