Allied’s Electric Vibration System “The Eliminator” Allied Mineral Products, Inc. has created a way to reduce refractory installation and labor time by more than 50 percent in many applications with its new patent pending Electric Vibration System (EVS).  This refractory installation system is also know as “The Eliminator” because it eliminates time, labor and cost by densifying alumina and silica dry-vibratables without manually de-airing prior to form vibration. “The Eliminator” is able to densify the refractory without forking due to the design of the variable frequency drive (control panel) and the internal weighting system of the vibrator. The EVS can be used to install MINRO-SIL® and DRI-VIBE® products in furnaces ranging from 1 to 35 metric ton capacity without forking or Bosch vibration.

“The Eliminator” offers many advantages and eliminates many of the traditional installation problems associated with a pneumatic vibrator.  In addition to installing refractories without forking, the EVS is quieter (65 dB compared to more than 90 dB) and produces much less dust than a pneumatic vibrator.   “The Eliminator” will also last two to three times longer because it has fewer moving parts, making it less prone to repairs.  Using electricity eliminates the problem of finding clean, compressed air and the worry of fluctuating air pressure affecting the densification process.  Because electricity costs 90 percent less than compressed air, the EVS further compounds savings.
“The Eliminator” is available for operation by 240 volt or 480 volt power supplies.  Each system is programmable for automatic operation but also can be operated manually to achieve optimal results.  Numerous trials and field results show that the EVS is able to consistently achieve high installed density without de-airing the refractory with forking tools.    Contact Bill Opatt with Allied Mineral Products, Inc. at 614-876-0244 to determine if “The Eliminator” is right for your refractory installations.
