| Product Lines |
| DRI-VIBE®- This
product line incorporates a variety of refractory raw materials
into dry ram formulations. Common raw materials include various
grades of alumina, magnesia, silica, fused silica, preformed spinel,
zircon, chrome ore, chrome oxide, silicon carbide, and other refractory
grains. Closely controlled grain size distribution, proprietary
binders and other additives make these products unique. Our
goal is to constantly update our product line in order to provide
our customers with leading edge refractory technology.
|
| MINRO-SIL®RAM 1001 Silica
based DRI-VIBE®
refractories designed for melting iron and copper. Boron oxide
and Boric acid binders are premixed to provide a reliable product
every time.
|
| MINRO-SIL®LD A
low dust formulation of MINRO-SIL®
designed to reduce respirable dust by 80% during installation.
|
|
MINRO-SIL 2001®- A new silica based refractory designed
to minimize erosion in coreless' melting
or holding ductile base iron. This product has delivered performance
increases of 30% - 50% over our traditional MINRO-SIL®RAM 1001
in ductile applications.
|
| V-CAST®- These
are ultra-low cement, low moisture castables utilizing a proprietary
gassing technology. Formulations include a wide range of alumina
grains with additions of silicon carbide, magnesia, zircon, fused
silica, and others. The resulting cured refractory offers
extremely low porosity, high hot and cold strengths, and high abrasion
and corrosion resistance.
|
| L-CAST®- These
are low cement, low moisture castables with similar formulations
to V-CAST®.
These generally incorporate burn out fibers for rapid heatup ability.
L-CAST®
products are generally used for non-ferrous molten metal contact
and for structural components in all types of furnaces.
|
| QUICK-CAST®
These
are low cement, low moisture, high flow castables that are easily
installed under almost any mixing condition. They are unique
in that they maintain their excellent strength profile over a wide
range of water additions. They are designed for both molten
metal and non-molten metal contact applications.
|
| MINRO-AL®CAST These
are generally conventional castables designed for a variety of casting
applications. They are either high alumina or high alumina
with silicon carbide.
|
| MATRICAST
Primarily
low cement castables for aluminum contact. MATRICAST TUFFLOOR is one of
these products usable in all foundry applications. It is designed for
foundry floors that are in intermittent contact with molten metal,
slag/dross, or other high heat incursions. TUFFLOOR will not spall under
these conditions. Foundry floors will require less maintenance and will
contribute to safe working conditions. |
| MATRIGUN
These are
hot and cold gunning mixes for ferrous and non-ferrous applications. They
can be used for patching existing surfaces or for backup applications in
non-ferrous furnaces. |
| MINRO-AL®PLASTICS These
incorporate a full range of plastic, plaster, and mortar refractories
for all molten metal applications. Alumina quantity varies
from 50% to 92%. Silicon carbide bearing plastics are available
within this product line.
|
| TEK-RAM and TEK-PAK
These are
graphitic rams and plastics designed mainly for cupola applications. They
are available in conventional and large aggregate formulations and a wide
range of silicon carbide contents. |
| SCOTT-RAM and STEEL-PAK
Chrome
alumina plastics, wet rams, mortars, and plasters for a variety of
patching applications. |
| MINRO-AL®WET RAMS These
are alumina-based rams designed for molten metal contact in coreless
and channel furnaces. They incorporate a wide range of alumina
contents and additions of silicon carbide and chrome oxide.
|
| MINRO-Z WET RAMS
These are zircon
based wet rams for furnace lining and patching applications. |
| MINRO-WEAVE and MINRO-MICA
Fiberglass
and/or mica slip plane materials for coreless applications. |
| CAST STEEL/COPPER LOOP FORMS
Hollow
channel loop forms for ferrous and non-ferrous inductor applications. All
loops are shipped from inventory and are inspected visually and by X-ray
before going in to inventory. |

VIBRATORS - We supply a wide range of
vibrators for installations. These include BOSCH Vibrators, NETTER CROSS
Vibrators, KLEIN Type Vibrators, MARTIN Vibrators, and our patent pending
ELECTRIC VIBRATOR SYSTEM (EVS).
The EVS
allows for the installation of coreless sidewall refractory with no
de-airing or layer by layer vibration. The result is significantly faster
turnaround time.
